Job Profile:
The Commandant will be responsible for the overall command and control of BSF battalions and units in their assigned jurisdiction. This role involves strategic planning, operational leadership, and coordination with other law enforcement agencies to ensure effective border management and security.

Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Command: Lead and manage BSF units in the field, ensuring operational readiness and efficiency.
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategies for effective border security and prevention of cross-border crimes.
- Administration & Personnel Management: Supervise and manage the administration, training, and welfare of personnel under command.
- Coordination & Liaison: Maintain close coordination with other security forces, intelligence agencies, and civil administration to ensure a unified approach to border security.
- Crisis Management: Respond to and manage any border-related incidents, ensuring prompt and effective resolution.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Rank: Serving or retired officers holding the rank of Commandant or equivalent in Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), Armed Forces, or equivalent in State Police Services.
- Experience: 15 years of experience in the execution of civil engineering works is mandatory.
- Educational Qualification: Graduate in any discipline from a recognized university. Additional qualifications in security management, defense studies, or related fields will be an advantage.
- Age Limit: The candidate should not exceed 52 years as of December 31, 2024. Relaxation in age may be applicable as per government rules.
